Several years ago, I decided I wanted start working on some period reproduction pieces using Champleve enameling. The [Enamels of Limoges](https://www.metmuseum.org/art/metpublications/enamels_of_limoges_1100_1350) has a lot of listings of coffrets of various sorts. I chose the [French Coffret](https://www.metmuseum.org/art/collection/search/464480) as the medium of reproduction. It is currently a major work in progress.
